DJ M3 - Staches & Glasses EP (Green Gorilla Lounge)

Who’s ever said 'no' to a healthy house music chugger? San Francisco's DJ M3 sure hasn’t, and his new Statches & Glasses EP reaffirms this through a three track selection that packs a killer bounce per ounce. All of these cuts are certifiably tech-infused, but with plenty of acid, funk, and soul elements to impart a strong dose of groove. This dance robot is also part human.

Best of Me“ excites straight from the get-go with a no-nonsense acid riff and soulful vocal snippets that are reminiscent of the high-energy days of rave. “Girl Doesn’t Mess Around” is a sonic chameleon so versatile, it achieves the rare ability to serve as a strong building block for a set while still pumping perfectly at peak time to keep the vibe alive. Rhythmic variations in “Beats & Bones” should keep the dance floor on its toes as the track delivers a genuine good old-fashioned booty shake.

All in all, the Staches & Glasses EP is simply a musical mirror of DJ M3’s dance floors over the years and transmits the maxim that, above all else, dance music can still be a lot of fun.
