From Toronto, Canada, comes Kozmik Hype Recordings and a brand new single, in a classic house music style, from veteran DJ Mystik Mike. A mainstay on the Toronto scene, Mystik Mike has been spreading the house message since the 90’s as a DJ, club owner, and radio show host. For Kozmik Hype’s third release Mystik Mike unveils “Higher Baby,” a pumping deep house track signified by soothing chords, rolling bass, sexy vocal stabs, and a sweet saxophone. The cut certainly harks back to late nights and parties past, bringing this beloved vibe into the present and new dance floor crowds. It’s a certified soulful stomper. On the remix tip we find Darren Marshall, a fellow Torontonian and long-time DJ who has previous releases on the likes of Dirty Deluxe, Crystal Sound, and Deeperfect Records. Darren adds slices of funky percussion over swinging house rhythms and thrusts the track’s drive into the prime time.
