Bo-Cash - Satisfy / Hot Shot (Fresh Cream Records)

After focusing on tracks by the label’s founders for its first quartet of releases, Fresh Cream Records delves into the worldwide pool of house music talent for this fifth issue by up-and-coming producer Bo-Cash. Based in Hungary, Bo-Cash is a relative newcomer making exciting and unique tracks, some already released by the likes of Mojear and FootMusic. For his debut on Fresh Cream, Bo-Cash delivers a pair of slinky, 120 BPM deep house groovers. “Satisfy" is a laid-back, melodic cut with a rhythm bordering on subtle breakbeat, a deep, throbbing bass pulse, and a faraway female vocal sample transmitting the track’s title. It’s a fascinating cut suitable for magic warm-up sets or intimate after-hours moments. The second cut is "Hot Shot" which goes a tad wilder with a touch of nu-disco spicing up its deep house mixture. Rousing piano chords, lush, phased string pads, and an ultra-low rolling bass line keep this one moving to its excellently crafted second-half build. These tracks totally make up another winner from Fresh Cream Records, primed and ready for the digital crate.

Al Bradley (3am Recordings) - “Wicked release, both cuts are absolutely spot-on. ‘Hot Shot’ is a gorgeous deep groove, while ‘Satisfy’ is lo-slung deep perfection - one of THE finest cuts I have received this year. Superb!”
Norm Talley (Beatdown Sounds) - “Nice groove … great for a deep house set!”
Joey Silvero (Distant People) - “I like the way this builds and rolls out. Great twisted disco.”
Will SumSuch (Urban Torque) - “‘Satisfy’ is absolutely beautiful. Really well produced, perfectly arranged house music.”
Michael Fossati (Spirit Of House) - “Gorgeous deep house with a fresh twist.”
Bruce Tantum (TimeOut NY) - “I’m loving both of these. Great summertime grooves, with a touch of MDMA vibe for those so inclined! Nice stuff.”
TJ Norris (Resident Advisor) - “This twofer starts with a way down low big bass growl on ‘Satisfy’. It grows to a pressurized chamber blurting beats but slow-churn style. ‘Hot Shot’ sounds like a planned discordant interruption with jazzy keys and an overall happy and warm mood.”
Christos Kedras (Kapa Music) - “Nice EP. I’m feeling the groove! Both tracks are nice with a small preference for the title track.”
Brewster Brigham (Kiss FM, Australia) - “Simple yet … genius! Loving the bass line.”
DJ Nova (Rodon FM, Greece) - “The nu-disco and deep house mixture on ‘Hot Shot’ is my pick. I love the piano strings that give it a euphoric mood.”
Eddy Spirit (Spirit Crew) - “Quality deep house tracks! Time to live, breathe and dance the purest vibes … a perfect soundtrack for the summer!”
