8DPromo welcomes the latest offering from Italy’s Stranamente Music, a label pushing unique and varied styles of peak time house music from the multi-faceted artist Laera. Here we find Laera continuing his unique musical path with four effective big room floor-pleasers as part of his 4 Hot 4 EP. Laera has an intriguing vision for his electronic music productions: the Italian composer has a love for classical, world music, and epic soundtracks and strives to combine those elements with dance music, creating something vibrant and new. This effort was evident in his earlier releases including the huge club tracks “La Guitarra De La Luna,” “Maravilla,” and “Odissea Mediterranea.”
The four tracks here represent Laera’s vision and the stylistic signatures of classic Italian dance music in general. “No Name" is another track from Laera exploring the use of violin and string melodies in high-charged dance music, leading towards a heady, emotional nightclub sound. "The Beat Is Underground" touches on more retro-Italo styles with an emotive, atmospheric vocal and a catchy analog synth melody over a pulsing late night rhythm. "Cabeza Loca" harks back to Laera’s earlier hit “La Guitarra De La Luna” with its world music stylings and minimal house beat. A Turkish-like horn melody plays on top, occasionally joined by whimsical vocals from Stranamente Music "team partner" Gigi Fuiano. Finally, “The Voice of The World” lifts the single into progressive-electro territory showing the variety and scope of Laera’s production. Vocals by Simona Bastiani play against heavy acid sounds as the kinetic energy of the track just gets wilder and wilder.
