Will Magid's music is always a joyous affair. His unique style of live performance and electronic sampling seamlessly blend original music with sounds from across the globe. Will, who studied ethnomusicology at UCLA, has gathered inspiration from playing music on six of the seven continents. Trumpet is his primary instrument, and Will uses it to convey a multitude of moods … Havana in the summertime, a West African wedding, and a French dance club are just a few of his imagined sonic destinations. With past releases on the likes of Cold Busted, ESL, and Six Degrees, Will Magid used his own Happy Rabbit imprint to launch the fantastic album Alligator Spacewalk. Performed by 'The Alligator Spacewalk Orchestra', the album was a richly layered collection of jazzy tunes featuring a variety of live instrumentation including string and horn sections, top notch vocals, vintage keys, and Will's own prominent contributions.
