One for the househeads! New Jersey’s DJ Jack T and Florida’s Adomni (Soulful House Syndicate) return to House Royalty Records with "Din Daa Daa (Zoom Dub Remix)," a love letter to that soulful style of music we call HOUSE. Deep and tribal, this one's a modern take on an old favorite fine-tuned for 21st century DJ sets. Yearning pads, percolating synth sequences, and evocative percussion form the foundation for a familiar melody to float upon. Boblebad - Hundeliv (Beatservice Records)

Hundeliv” — which translates to “a dog's life” — is an early taste of the Kalde Vibber EP (fully released on December 10th). True to Boblebad's ever intricate engineering of floor-ready dynamics and off-piste bizarro, "Hundeliv" features the sound of barking dogs, middle-Eastern strings. and aloof-yet-fevered drumwork, slowly hatching into a full-fledged off-kilter club tune as bars go by. A distinctive tune for distinguished DJs.

Punching in with the anticipated new episode of his singular jaunts into electronic music’s wild blue yonder is Beatservice habitué Ulf Moen Denneche, alias Boblebad. Following up to his previous release — the fun and bouncy Vill Falafel— the Norwegian producer dishes out the Kalde Vibber EP. Its four cuts continue in the same vein of Boblebad’s playful disco: cosmopolitan, unruly, and definitely nutty by nature. With other releases for Paper, Eskimo, and Full Papp, as well as a full album due early next year, Boblebad’s on the quick rise.

Rory Hoy (Howlin’ Records) – “Really nice tune. Love that bassline!”
Burdy (Viva Recordings) – “Fantastic! Very excited for the rest of this EP.”
Sean Johnston (Hardway Bros) – “Who let the dogs out?”
Snooba (Radio Panik) – “Massive groove!”
DJ Morpheus (Lysergic Factory radio show) – “Lovely. It moves right, I like it.”
Adam Warped (Strange-Days radio show) – “Outstanding!”
Jon Fugler (XLNT radio show) – “Absolutely delightful. No pretense, no fuss … solid.”

Juan Hoerni ft. Maurice Smith - Fantasy (Cha Cha Project Recordings)

The latest single on Cha Cha Project Recordings finds three of the label’s returning house music champions on the soulful funk gem “Fantasy.” Los Angeles’s house music maestro Juan Hoerni has collaborated once again with the accomplished, in-demand vocalist Maurice Smith. For “Fantasy,” the singer blends his gospel-influenced vocal stylings with a catchy and smooth ‘80s flavor featuring keys by Scott Wozniak. Juan’s music is endearingly punchy, with a prominent synth bass line guiding the tune through layers of piano, swirling pads, and breaky drum patterns. This one will stick in your head.

Roy Davis Jr. returns to Cha Cha Project for the remix. Roy’s Disco Heads Remix transforms “Fantasy” with a driving 4-on-the-floor kick, swooping string parts, and an intricate phased-out bass riff. Maurice’s vocals fit like a glove, taking him from the ‘80s soulful radio vibe of the original to the floor of Studio 54. Roy also provides a dub mix for the DJs’ mixing pleasure, rounding out another exceptional release from Cha Cha Project Recordings.

Luis Machuca (Friskybeat Records) – “Digging the disco vibes, and the Roy Davis Jr. remixes are proper.”
DJ Suff (Mange Le Funk Productions) – “Really nice, catchy vocal. The original will be getting some support.”
Booker T (Kings of Soul) – “Wicked vibes, will support.”
Black Mighty Wax (Irma Records) – “Nice disco tune, and a hot remix by Roy Davis Jr.”
Joan Ribas (Hotel Pacha) – “Superb tune, love it. Amazing soulful disco vibe.”
Dean Serafini (Frisky Rhythms) – “All of the mixes are excellent. I look forward to playing them nice and loud.”
Michael Fossati (Spirit of House Zine) – “A classy rework by Roy Davis Jr. that’s sure to send the dancers into a frenzy.”

LTTL - Watercolor (Cold Busted)

Watercolor is LTTL’s fantastic debut album, released by Los Angeles’s iconic Cold Busted label. The western NY-state beat-maker was trained as a live drummer, but, thanks to a sonic encounter with the sound of MF Doom, emerged as an instrumental hip-hop enthusiast. LTTL’s musical palette is composed of phat and precise rhythms mixed with what he calls “psychedelic elevator music.” Watercolor’s 17 tracks display his technique, resulting in tight, laid-back vibes that groove for days.

LTTL’s obsession with colors and the natural world is revealed in the hue-named song titles. “Vermillion Hue” opens Watercolor, ringing electric piano and crisp, classy drums leading into a strange sax-like melody. “Lemon Yellow” is next, sounding like the on-hold music for the chillest of skate shops. Other highlights include the dramatic pulse of “Sky Blue,” the bird songs, jazzy guitar, and boom-bap beat of “Ultramarine,” and the strange melodic pads and growling bass of “Sap Green.” With Watercolor, LTTL has carved out his path among a world of downtempo beat producers. The future is bright as he continues to paint his masterpieces with sound.

Rory Hoy (Super Hi-Fi) – “Absolutely beautiful release. Definitely supporting.”
Mr. Bristow (Subtek) – “Lovely, dusty and groovy.”
Crate Invader (Point Blank FM, London) – “Stunning and sublime. Props!”
Andreas Kinzl (Aromabar) – “Lemon Yellow is captivating.”
