Seattle electronic music duo Cyanwave create post warehouse rhythms layered with captured audio and dub soundscapes. Imbuing the spirit that created the northwest, home of refugees and adventurers, Cyanwave’s hypnotic journey takes the listener from the dance floor to the headphones and back around. With no final destination and valuing sound aesthetic over genre loyalty, the aim is exploration itself.
Cyanwave’s well-received Anxiety of Acceleration EP now gets the remix treatment from a cross section of Innerflight Music’s distinctive artist roster. Graintable, Crown Hill Repeater, and Spon.10.80 all transform the original tracks into their own special mutations. Also making their first appearances on Innerflight are up and coming Seattle producer The Googly, Minneapolis live techno duo Complicit, and native New Yorker (now calling Seattle home) and the man behind Nylon Trax, Jaymz Nylon. Transversing the lines from dubby and abstract techno to a touch of dubstep and broken beats, this release expands upon the musical ideas presented in the originals, broadening the journey to new horizons.
