Monsieur Minimal - Candy Face Remixes (The Sound Of Everything)

Eclectic Greek electronic music label The Sound Of Everything is pleased to issue “Candy Face,” the third single from Monsieur Minimal’s new album Minimal To Maximal. Monsieur Minimal has found much success in his native Greece with a sound defined mainly as indie pop but with a lot of electronic influences and elements, expressed through simple, beautiful melodies and sweet pop vocals. “Candy Face” demonstrates the darker, downtempo side of Monsieur Minimal, complete with dreamy vocals, melodic layers, and reverb boxes set at ‘11’ combining to create an appealing ‘shoegaze’ trip. The “Candy Face” remix package features nine carefully selected producers transforming the original into something else entirely, touching on moments of lush deep house, electro-tinged downtempo, indie-electronica, and ‘chill-wave.’ Highlights featured in this sampler include deep house treatments from Theo Tag (Sophistique Records), Dimi Phaze (Planetworks, Audiotherapy), Disgraceland (Scold Recordings), and E Major a.k.a. Elias Tzikas (Plastic City, Urbantorque) as well as a heavy and driving downtempo version from Solifer. For those liking their house and electronic music on the hypnotic, dream-like side look no further than this intriguing set of mixes.

There is also a video for Monsieur Minimal’s “Candy Face” directed by Dimitris Silvestros, visually inviting the listener to an atmospheric and dreamy trip inside and outside of the water. You can view it here: http://youtu.be/m_-DZkxx1fY.
