Newly launched NYC house music label Soul Town Records proudly presents its third release, the appropriately soulful “By The Way” from Club Shelter and Sound Factory veteran Slik Walker. With his deep voice and deep soul, Slik is a performer of many degrees with expertise in singing, songwriting, and dancing. His lyrics come from his deepest passion and devotion for soul music, with inspiration from Slik’s favorite vocalist Luther Vandross, mixed over a bit of deep tribal house flavor. Taken from Slik’s first solo album SMH, “By The Way” appears on Soul Town remixed by a trio of international producers delivering late night, nightclub-ready deep house versions. South Africa’s Millitone, Italy’s Haldo (of Proceed Records), and Soul Town’s own Georgia Cee from New York City all contribute fantastic reworks of “By The Way.” Be sure to queue these up for the next soulful session … Slik Walker’s “By The Way” is here to give the house heads something new and cool to move their feet to.
