liquid light featuring Monique - Play That Music (Blue Bass Records)

Based in Greece, liquid light is the production and DJ name of Sotiris Riniou. Sotiris has a vinyl discography stretching back over a decade, and launched his own Blue Bass Records label in 2005 with liquid light’s “Loverise” and the follow-up single “Groove Addiction.” These early releases grabbed the attention of the likes of Laurent Garnier, Hernan Cattaneo, James Zabiela, and Anthony Pappa. This latest release from liquid light sees Sotiris collaborating with vocalist Monique Thomas for the simply titled “Play That Music.” It’s a polished dance production in three mixes, combining liquid light’s deep tech-house sound with a funkier, soulful vocal element. A Deep Club Mix, an Electrik Funk mix, and the original version all offer different shades of “Play That Music,” featuring rousing dance floor elements for funkier, deeper, or peak time moments. Top stuff here from liquid light and Blue Bass Records … give this one a spin.
