Brookside Chase - Deep In The Night (Plenitude Records)

Following the warm reception of his previous Eternally EP, Plenitude Records label founder Chris Simmons (aka Brookside Chase) returns with a stunning collection of deep and seductive dance floor scorchers that will excite listeners and dancers alike. A lifelong lover of house music and all things deep and soulful, Brookside is new name on the scene but has been producing since his early teens. Now in his 30s, Brookside is ready to share his musical vision with the world. His second release Deep In The Night features three slamming deep house tracks, perfect for late night or early morning nightclub action.

A Form of Life” includes elements of darkness and light that come together to form a sublime track. This cut has a thumping groove and bass line and also features soaring angelic voices and lush retro chords. “Dream On (My Dreamer)” is a groovy, sensual slice of soulful house with uplifting vocals, beautiful chords, and a bumping low end. “Running With The Wind” is a reference to the groove-driven house tracks of the ’90s, featuring ecstatic piano chords, female vocals, a beautiful break down section, and relentless bass that drives right into the heart and soul.

Brookside Chase: "For this mix, I decided to bring the flavor of my mix show We Are House Music to the mix. We Are House Music always highlights bumping deep and soulful house music from today and years past. This mix features a lot of great, uplifting house music with vocals, as can be expected on the We Are House Music show. The aim with this mix is to provide danceable house music with a bumping soulful vibe. The mix starts out with my new track 'Call Me On The Weekend' which beautifully sets the tone of the mix with its lush, deep vocal vibe. From there, the mix proceeds to yield the wonderful, soulful sounds of underground house music. It's hard to single out particular songs because I love them all, but the Atjazz remix of 'Searching' by Fred Everything & Jinadu and the Brookside edit/mashup of Charles Caliber's 'Moving On' and Sybil's 'Don't Give Up' were big tracks on We Are House Music last year."

Brookside Chase's new Eternally EP, which includes the track "Call Me On The Weekend", is out now on Plenitude Records.

Brookside Chase - Eternally (Plenitude Records)

Plenitude Records warmly welcomes San Diego-based deep house producer Brookside Chase for the label’s first release. Brookside has been creating his own tracks since his early teens but is now releasing his music for the first time. Although new to releasing music, Brookside has passionately danced, collected, and listened to electronic music since the early ’90s. Now is the time to introduce Brookside Chase to the world!

Brookside’s debut EP, titled Eternally, features three slamming house music tracks that are filled with soul and a classic-sounding vibe. “Call Me On The Weekend” opens the release with stirring female vocals, a bumping bass line, and emotive synth strings and pads to carry the dance floor away. This is followed by the tight four-on-the-floor intro of “Eternally”, which gives way to a wonderfully retro bass riff, piano chords, and warm, gliding synths. Lovely female vocals accompany the breakdown sections, punctuated by percussive male vocal hits in the peak of the track. The EP finishes with “Prove My Love To You”, an upfront club-oriented workout that deftly references ’90s house music with a bubbling bass line, rhythmic voice snippets, some seriously lush strings, and a classic male vocal hook. These cuts are ready to make some waves in after hours DJ sets.

Graeme Park (The Graeme Park Radio Show) – “Wonderful Stuff.”
Andy Riley (Inland Knights) – “Digging Eternally – will play for sure.”
Vincent Kwok (Eight-Fifteen / Transport Recordings) – “Digging the old school vibes of these tracks.”
Distant People (Soul Elements Radio Show) – “The bass and dreamy vocal got me on this, captures a retro feel but sounds fresh at the same time.”
Larry Fives (Drop Music) – “Nice acid touch on prove my love.”
DJ Osric (Black and Blue Show) – “Top release, beautifully done. I can listen to music like this forever.”
Kiyo To (Kanzen Records / Kanzen Radio) – “Really sweet and groovy sounds right here.”
DJ Nova (Rodon FM 95) – “Solid classic club house sound on the package.”
Jamie Topham (JT Music Media Man / Summer Soulstice) – “Great 3 tracker from Brookside Chase. Every one is a winner!”
Michael Fossati (Spirit Of House Web Zine) – “A classy ‘n’ sexy slice of dreamy vocal house.”
