DJ MFR & Andi Lone - Changes (Transport Recordings)

San Francisco's DJ MFR has teamed up with Italian vocalist Andi Lone for a multi-lingual house music treat, "Changes". Released by MFR's long-standing Transport Recordings, "Changes" delivers a sparkling arrangement of piano chords and floating synth pads over a groovy four-on-the-floor rhythm. Andi Lone's sensual vocals feature a spoken verse in Italian and a sung chorus in English, adding to the exotic vibe of this moving track. Rome-based producer and regular Transport contributor Devid Morrison provides a spacious deep house remix tailor-made for late club nights. Reverb-drenched percussion and a slinky rhythmic backbone perfectly compliment Andi's echoed vocal phrases. Morrison then reveals a stripped-back dub which showcases the underground drive of his production. Also on hand for a remix is renowned DJ / producer Vincent Kwok who creates a smooth and sophisticated re-interpretation of "Changes". Kwok adds a warm low end and lovely synth melodies to act as compliments to Andi Lone's catchy chorus. This one will bring smiles to faces on the dance floor as it inspires the bodies to move.

Dr. Feelx vs Devid Morrison - I'm a DJ (Transport Recordings)

The latest Transport Recordings release unites label veteran Devid Morrison - known for his recent single “Tribaland” as well as “Wonderland,” his collaboration with DJ MFR - and Italian old school house music hero Dr. Feelx. With “I’m a DJ,” the two unveil a quartet of versions in varying classic house music styles. The aptly named Classic Mix delivers tight chords, rolling beats, and a rousing trumpet line accompanied by Dr. Feelx’s global message transmitted in his soulful spoken vocal. The Universal Mix adds a slight techy edge with a big synth bass line and a driving rhythm ride. The following Deep Mix does what it says on the tin, with a deeper aesthetic in the production that will sound right at home in the clubs of the Transport label’s native San Francisco. Finally, a Percussion Mix adds layers of congas and bongos while still keeping the atmosphere punchy and deep. It’s yet another triumph from the Transport camp.

Devid Morrison - Tribaland EP (Transport Recordings)

Transport Recordings is pleased to present the latest release from Rome-based DJ and producer Devid Morrison. A prolific producer and remixer, Morrison most recently collaborated with DJ MFR on the well-received “Wonderland” single and contributed top notch remixes to Fabio Tosti’s “Talamanca” and Julius Papp & Mr. V’s “Chicago Tribute.” With this brand new Tribaland EP, Devid Morrison branches out with four funky house tracks that aim straight for peak time and bigger rooms without losing the stylish and classy feel that Transport releases are known for. There’s “Too Much War” with its chunky, driving percussion and urgent synth blasts and vocal repetitions; “Hello” which adds a tech-house feel to its solid low end rhythm; the jazzier, funky “Don’t Stop” featuring a cool trombone line amidst the disco stomp; and the title track which utilizes a warm sub-bass, a suitably ‘tribal’ rhythm line, and some rousing breakdowns and build-ups to maximum effect. It’s something a little different from Transport Recordings and, as always, something worth checking out. Primed and ready for spins.

Jask - “These are very cool tracks.”
Mousse T. - “Groovy little f**ker!”
Hippie Torrales - “Hot, hot, hot!”
Joey Silvero (Distant People) - “A great feel to this … I love the brass and the bass on ‘Don’t Stop.’ They just keep you moving!”
Rick Preston - “I love this EP … every track!”
Christos Kedras (Kapa Music) - “Nice package … I’m feeling the title track the most. In the bag!”
Murray Richardson (Rebel Waltz) - “Nice all ’round EP. I would play all these tracks for sure, with ‘Tribaland’ standing out the most for me.”
Joshua Jacobs (Music You Need) - “Devid Morrison absolutely kills it on this Tribaland EP … this is a must listen!”
DJ Craig C (Peace Bisquit / Pound Boys) - “SOLID!”

Fabio Tosti - Talamanca (Transport Recordings)

Summer choon alert! Fabio Tosti (Salted Music, Purple Music, Soulshine) unveils a brand new single on Transport Recordings and it’s a Mediterranean-styled stomper. Named after an Ibizan beach, Tosti’s “Talamanca" is an exotic, island-flavored house music jam that will create dance floor pandemonium at any deserving poolside soiree. Five versions are presented here, led by Fabio’s collaborative mix with K-Max. This Club Mix features a driving broken beat rhythm, rolling Spanish guitar, and rousing piano and saxophone riffs. This one aims squarely at peak time and surely delivers. Transport’s own DJ MFR is up next with his Transporter Mix, presenting a deeper, bass heavy rhythm section accented by fantastic percussion and that gorgeous Spanish guitar. Devid Morrison, who has been making recent waves on Transport, gives a more organic feel with a crisp four-on-the-floor beat, a live sounding bass line, and the guitar brought to the fore. Fabio Tosti rounds out the package with two more versions. His Funkyn Mix is, as the title implies, super-funky with the focus on the saxophone and its energetic melodies. Finally, Tosti’s H23 Club Mix revisits elements of the first mix blending it into a breezier, more percussive treatment. It’s a winner for the summertime from Transport Recordings.
