DJ MFR & Andi Lone - Changes (Transport Recordings)

San Francisco's DJ MFR has teamed up with Italian vocalist Andi Lone for a multi-lingual house music treat, "Changes". Released by MFR's long-standing Transport Recordings, "Changes" delivers a sparkling arrangement of piano chords and floating synth pads over a groovy four-on-the-floor rhythm. Andi Lone's sensual vocals feature a spoken verse in Italian and a sung chorus in English, adding to the exotic vibe of this moving track. Rome-based producer and regular Transport contributor Devid Morrison provides a spacious deep house remix tailor-made for late club nights. Reverb-drenched percussion and a slinky rhythmic backbone perfectly compliment Andi's echoed vocal phrases. Morrison then reveals a stripped-back dub which showcases the underground drive of his production. Also on hand for a remix is renowned DJ / producer Vincent Kwok who creates a smooth and sophisticated re-interpretation of "Changes". Kwok adds a warm low end and lovely synth melodies to act as compliments to Andi Lone's catchy chorus. This one will bring smiles to faces on the dance floor as it inspires the bodies to move.

Mozak - Deep Underground (Transport Recordings)

San Francisco deep house label Transport Recordings reaches Deep Underground for a club-primed nine track debut album from enigmatic producer Mozak. Previous well-received singles and remixes for Transport over the past year have only hinted at what Mozak delivers with Deep Underground … it's a thrilling selection of brand new house music cuts heavily inspired by '90s sounds and vibes, but masterfully updated for contemporary floors. With production assistance from Transport founder DJ MFR, Deep Underground thrusts Mozak onto the scene as a necessary addition to a DJ's nightclub arsenal. From the punchy melodic build of "Your Life" to the nu-disco bounce of "Disco Love" through to the classic-sounding after-hours appeal of the album's title track, Mozak touches on more than a few house music flavors. But they are all bound by a deliberate underground sensibility and a focused mission to make bodies dance. Dive in deep … Deep Underground.

DJ MFR feat. Morrisson - More (Transport Recordings)

Transport Recordings’ very own DJ MFR presents “More,” his new collaboration with singer Morrisson, a seasoned San Francisco vocalist who has collaborated on many Transport singles over the years. The original evokes an early ’90s classic house style with an M1 organ, a dance floor ready bass riff, shuffling hats, and nice rhythmic key stabs - but it’s the buoyant accompanying bass notes and soulful vocals that really set the track apart. Next up, Mozak’s Dub Mix marks the production debut of San Francisco newcomer Mozak. The vocals are teased out, the bass goes under, keys come to the melodic forefront, and springy synth notes bounce into play. For DJs seeking a sparser treatment, the single includes also two instrumental mixes.

Abicah Soul - “I love it.”
Ralf GUM (GOGO Music) - “Nice tune.”
Marques Wyatt - “Tight.”
Deli G (Future Sound of House) - “Top, classic MFR … all mixes are rocking.”
DJ Craig C (Pound Boys / Peace Bisquit) - “I’m digging the box on this one.”
Joey Silvero (Distant People) - “I like the mood on the Mozak Dub. A subtle, building feel and retro sound.”
Dean Serafini (JJazproJect) - “Another high quality release. I’m a real fan of Morrisson’s vocals. Mozak’s dub is reminiscent of some early MK material and right up my street!”
Mason Rothert (Below Zero Radio Show) - “Well done … a great vocal by one of the best.”
Ben Doren (2nd Sunday) - “The Mozak Dub … that’s hot! Deep groovy tech house with a nice old school Chicago synth, ’90s style … nice!”
DJ Danila (Wazzup? Records) - “Massive tracks!”
DJ Nova (Rodon FM, Greece) - “I always like Tranport’s releases with Morrisson on vocals. The original is a mixture of classic west coast house with an early ’90s sound. The Mozak remix recalls the Basement Boys with its richer version.”
Alan Powell (The Midnight Mix) - “It feels like I’m back in 1993. I’m loving the throbbing bass line, and there’s just enough keys in the dub to make it a fab DJ tool.”
Michael Fossati (Spirit of House) - “A wicked, old school inspired dance floor gem.”

Vincent Kwok - Afrique (Transport Recordings)

San Francisco’s Transport Recordings is proud to present the latest from Vincent Kwok, the ambitious and exotic house music single “Afrique.” Blending the west coast’s deep house sound with African-inspired rhythms and instrumentation, Vincent has created a hypnotic number that swells and builds with layers of melody and flowing chords. The original cut is pure Balearic house bliss, sure to please Vincent’s fans as well as win many new ones. There’s also Vincent Kwok’s Deep Trip which takes “Afrique” into more solid deep house territory with its grooving bass line, distant saxophone melody, and echoing pads over the steady four-on-the-floor. Transport’s own DJ MFR is also on hand for his reinterpretation of “Afrique,” lending a production that is appealingly heavy on the tribal percussion while still retaining Vincent’s melodic base. MFR has supplied a Beats version, as well, giving the DJ a chance to work with the remix’s intricate percussion. Undoubtedly it’s another surefire winner from Vincent Kwok and Transport Recordings.
